For those of you new to cruising, you may not be aware of shore excursions. They are certainly not mandatory, you can walk off the ship and tour the city on your own, choose another tour from Royal Caribbean's selection or arrange something private. (Just make sure to make it back on board on time). They are all available to purchase and we have left the current pricing of some suggestions below. Some folks even consider staying on the ship while everyone else is off touring. It's like having your own yacht and serving staff.
ROATAN - Known as the second largest barrier reef, this country offers more than just white sand beaches and beautiful waters. Roatán cruises provide access to laid-back beach towns and secluded shores. On the Big Island, you can mingle with monkeys and “Jesus” lizards, snorkel with stingrays, and zipline through rainforest canopies.
If it’s culture you crave, the island’s unique and vibrant blend is more than satisfying— made up of ex-pat sun seekers, Hondurans from the mainland, descendants of European settlers, and Garífuna, whose Afro-Carib-Arawak heritage still flavors centuries-old communities like Punta Gorda. If you seeking a Roatan adventure, please visit the Royal Caribbean shore excursions for this island. |
